A leading company in the field of gas storage commissioned us to expand an underground gas storage facility in a scenic region in northern Saxony-Anhalt. The strategic location of the facility allows for efficient integration into the existing gas network, ensuring reliable supply to the region and neighboring markets. This expansion included the installation of two additional natural gas compressors as part of a third phase of development. The goal of this project was to increase the capacity and efficiency of the existing compressor station, which is already equipped with several piston compressors.

Our scope of work included overseeing the entire process from planning and design to procurement of components, assembly, and commissioning. Special emphasis was placed on the seamless integration of the new compressors into the existing infrastructure, enabling the station to operate flexibly in both serial and parallel modes. Capacity control is managed by a variable-speed drive, allowing flexible adjustment to operational requirements.
This project significantly contributes to strengthening the gas infrastructure and supports secure energy supply.
