NATURAL GAS TREATMENT COMPRESSOR – PROJECT IN NORTHERN GERMANY

The client, a leading company in the energy sector, commissioned the construction of a high-performance natural gas treatment compressor at a central gathering station in northern Germany. This strategically located site, situated in a region with well-developed natural gas infrastructure, is optimally connected to the national supply network. Its location enables efficient processing and injection of extracted natural gas into the main supply pipelines, significantly contributing to energy supply security.

As part of this project, we undertook the planning, engineering, procurement, packaging, assembly, commissioning, and documentation of the facility. The gas-tight compressor, equipped with an integrated leak gas compression system, meets the specific requirements of gas treatment. A variable-speed electric motor ensures precise flow rate control and high efficiency. This project significantly enhances the gas treatment process, optimizing both the efficiency and capacity of the infrastructure while ensuring the reliable and efficient integration of natural gas into the national supply network.

THE TECHNICAL DATA OF THE PLANT

  • SUCTION PRESSURE: 4 barg
The suction pressure range is flexible and can be adjusted between 45 and 55 barg to meet varying operational requirements. The nominal value is 50 barg.
  • DISCHARGE PRESSURE: 85 barg:
The discharge pressure reaches up to 90 barg and supports flexible operation within a range of 70 to 90 barg, ensuring efficient gas compression.
  • FLOW RATE: 700 Nm³/h
With a flow rate of 4,000 Nm³/h, the compressor efficiently processes large volumes of gas, ensuring reliable supply.
  • MOTOR POWER: 120 kW
The electric motor with a power rating of 160 kW provides the necessary energy for powerful and efficient gas compression, even under demanding conditions.
