NATURAL GAS COMPRESSORS FOR GATHERING STATION – PROJECT IN VENEZUELA, CHIMIRE 

The client is a leading company in the natural gas supply sector, playing a key role in the global energy industry. With extensive experience in the development and operation of gas infrastructure, the company relies on advanced technologies for safe and sustainable energy supply. The project at the Chimire Gathering Station, located in a geostrategically significant region in eastern Venezuela, enabled a direct connection to gas extraction sources, strengthening both regional infrastructure and the national gas supply.As part of the project, a state-of-the-art natural gas compressor was installed. The entire process included planning, engineering, procurement, component packaging, assembly, and commissioning of the plant. Upon successful completion, all necessary documentation was prepared to ensure complete transparency and traceability of the project.

A standout feature of the plant is the integrated speed control of the gas engine, which enables precise and efficient flow rate regulation. This technology ensures not only high performance but also exceptional operational efficiency under demanding conditions.The compressor plays a crucial role in maintaining the stability of the regional gas supply, ensuring that the increased demands for natural gas processing are reliably met. With its robust design and intelligent control technology, it significantly contributes to ensuring a sustainable and high-performance energy supply.

THE TECHNICAL DATA OF THE PLANT

  • SUCTION PRESSURE: 4 barg
    The compressor was designed for stable operation at a suction pressure of 4.0 barg, adjustable within a range of 3.5 to 5 barg to meet the varying demands of gas extraction.
  • DISCHARGE PRESSURE: 85 barg:
    The compressor achieves a maximum discharge pressure of 82.5 barg, enabling efficient compression and storage of gas across a wide operating range. The pressure range extends from 55 to 70 barg, allowing precise adjustments to meet the demands of gas supply.
  • FLOW RATE: 700 Nm³/h
    With an impressive capacity of 12,500 standard cubic meters per hour, the compressor ensures high efficiency and maximum performance in natural gas processing. This capacity is crucial for maintaining a reliable gas supply, even during periods of increasing demand.
  • MOTOR POWER: 120 kW
    The compressor is powered by a high-performance electric motor with a capacity of 1,750 kW, ensuring reliable and continuous operation to meet the demanding requirements of gas extraction and processing.
